I think it’s a shame that Moses didn’t return the favor and show up at the office Christmas party.

“But the real question is - Should Christians today celebrate Holy Days ...”

Your answer has been graded, and with regret must inform you that Holy Days are reserved for Catholic tradition only; sorry, no celebration for you.

Did Jesus Christ Celebrate Hanukkah?

In actual answer to your question, the text simply says the Lord went up to the Feast at Jerusalem and ministered the Word, as that is all John 10:22-40 describes Him as doing.

And it was at Jerusalem the feast of the dedication, and it was winter. And Jesus walked in the temple in Solomon’s porch. Then came the Jews round about him, and said unto him, How long dost thou make us to doubt? If thou be the Christ, tell us plainly. Jesus answered them, I told you, and ye believed not: the works that I do in my Father’s name, they bear witness of me. (John 10:22-25) And it is held that the Lord was not actually in the holy place of prayer in the Temple itself where the priest ministered (and the Gk. word translated "in" here can mean at, or among), but "in Solomon's porch ," a porch on the eastern side of the Temple's Outer Court (Women's Court). Which was thus later able to be used by the early church to meet. (Acts 3:11; 5:12)

The Lord at least made use of a religious cultural celebration to minister the Word, and some such celebrations are honorable.

Most Jews didn’t celebrate it either...until they got pressured from their kids.

Yes, it was a festival. But it was minor at best.

I think it’s nice to view Hanukkah through a Christian lens. And it’s an enriching piece of history.
