“Get some German engineers over there and American construction teams and fix it.”

I’ve never read a history of the Notre Dame Cathedral construction, however the Washington Cathedral apparently was built somewhat similar to Notre Dame, and taking a few biblical references to Solomon’s Temple no stone was cut on site to reduce the amount of hammering which according to scriptures was done because of the sacredness of the site.

So, (if I was in charge of the world)..
Let it be reconstructed in a very traditional manner by cutting the stones off site transporting them to the site and hiring artisans for a good wage and not taking taxes out of your paychecks until the project is completed.

The whole reason Notre Dame was built by volunteer artisans back when it was first constructed was that there were no taxes, so people could donate their time freely to the Glory of God in the construction of a great Cathedral worthy of his name.

The Cathedral in Baltimore was also constructed by stone cut completely off site and then put together like a giant LEGO project.
