Thank you for this thread. My wife and I lost our son at the end of August. We are avoiding the holidays like the plague.

I’m so sorry to hear about your loss. The anguish you both feel has to be so hard to endure. I pray for both you.
My condolences on your terrible loss. Saying that, I don’t think your son would want you to avoid the holidays as such. Try to cherish the memories of past holidays and find a way to celebrate somehow. Perhaps even doing some volunteer work. Just a suggestion.
So sorry. I have found that when I feel these things to pray for others experiencing these things, and my peace returns. We are not alone. Prayers for you and all on this thread.
