Prayer for all those experiencing difficulties this Christmas.

This Christmas has been extraordinarily difficult for people that have lost...

valuable items, money, friends, homes, cars, loved ones, beloved pets...

If you have lost something recently please let us know. You don't have to say what it is if you don't want to but we will all be praying for your recovery and healing from your loss no matter how big or small.

The most important thing is that we do not lose hope especially as we contemplate the joy of Christmas and our Lord's promise of Salvation.

Prayers up for all spoken and unspoken requests.

Such a wonderful thought.

Many will not have the time or inclination to post

what it is they are struggling with and it may be as

bad or worse than what we have seen here so far but

many too have read and prayed with posting

like the unknown soldier

let us keep them all in mind this Christmas

I funded a business startup almost a year ago and made my daughter and niece 1/3 partners with me. All of a sudden about a month ago the niece just quit talking to me. Won’t respond to emails or texts from me. Didn’t follow through on any of the business things she was supposed to do. I made the decision last night to remove her from the business. Our yearly renewals are all coming up which means more money out of my pocket. I said I’m not spending one more dime and allowing her to treat me this way. Yes, it hurts but I feel okay about my decision.

Hang in there, Concentrate. Your story sounds very similar to mine. Everybody tells me what a nice guy I am but for some reason I seem to attract people into my life who think it is their job to put me in my place and treat me like crap.

I can't say I've ever considered suicide but there have been many times when I have prayed for God to not let me wake up in the morning. I just wanted to go home.

You are not going through this alone. Not only are there others going through similar situations but God, Himself, is going through it with you. He is in you. It's a mystery but it's true.

Holy Spirit, I pray for You to help Concentrate feel Your divine presence within him. Bring people into his life who build him up instead of tearing him down. Those who mistreat him are the ones with a problem. Normal people don't go around trying to destroy their fellow human beings.

Father, bless and protect Concentrate. Let Your face shine upon him and be gracious to him. Lift him up like a loving father lifts his baby high into the air and smiles at him and give him Your peace.

Maybe God hears your prayers. He doesn’t hear mine.

Yes He does. The Holy Spirit is within you constantly praying on your behalf to The Father through Jesus. God absolutely loves you and wants you to enjoy his creation.

The Hebrew word for father is "abba". Our closest word for that is "daddy". You are his precious, beautiful daughter. He lifts you high into the air with outstretched arms and just stares into your beautiful eyes and smiles at you.

Abba Father, help DeplorableGirl feel You presence. Help her to believe that you hear her and want the absolute best for her. Holy Spirit, come forward in DG's life. The Father created everything on this planet for Jesus to enjoy through her. Command Your angels to do battle with whatever forces are blocking her prayers just as they fought for Daniel when he prayed. In Jesus' name. Amen.

I need to make an anonymous prayer request for a dear FReeper and

all those caring for spouses that are struggling with dementia.

Prayers up. This touches a soft spot in my heart.

I work at hospital that has a skilled nursing facility wing so I see these patients every day when I clean their rooms.

Some of them think I am a family member who is there to visit them so I play along as best I can. I also see the blank looks on family members' faces as they come and go. It breaks my heart. I say silent prayers as I clean their room and as I sweep and mop the hallways. I will add our anonymous FRiend to the list.

Nothing is more precious to me than the promise of my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, especially at this time of year. For without him I have no hope.

I woke up one day and I was old and elderly. Looking through the back pages of my life, I discovered he had blessed and guided me in ways I could not understand at the time.

So when lifes’ burdens become too heavy and you can’t shoulder them anymore, give them to HIM. He will comfort you in times of trouble.

My father died, rather suddenly, Thanksgiving pre-dawn.

My mother is beside herself with upset and we hate to leave her alone.

Meanwhile my MIL has acquired an infection and thinks she is not coming for Christmas at our already tiny party (now only my mother is a guest), and my nephew thank God has just had a premature baby. Latter is well now but we hope he stays that way - there were definite concerns this week including yesterday.

I am praying for you and your family that

you may be filled with the Holy Spirit and that

the demons that torment you will be held at bay

until your vocation to fatherhood echos stronger and

your strength and inspiration returns to invigorate your efforts and

that they may be rewarded with uncountable blessings.

My prayer is one for all that have lost a loved one . May God be with you and seek his arms so that you can derive some peace in your time of sorrow . Reach out to the trinity that Jesus has paved the way for with his conquering death for our sake . May you find the peace and love that God offers for free .

I’m sure most of us in your situation would have the same thoughts.

My infant great-grandson needed a liver transplant five years ago. Things looked desperate, when a total stranger, a gal who went to a relatives church, stepped up, was a match, and gave him part of her liver...a week before Christmas!

He is a fine and feisty boy today. Many Freepers prayed for Him...little Judah Michael.

Miracles do happen, esp. when you have many people praying for you.

May God grant you the gift of anew liver very soon!

There are better ways to spend money than on ungrateful relatives.

Give to the poor, the missionaries, the wounded vets, the underdogs everywhere.

I surprised my pizza delivery man with a $50 tip last Christmas. He practically jumped for joy!

If you scatter that bread (to worthy people), it does come back a hundred-fold.

Good morning and thank you for your reply with a very similar heart- ache. How awful. My niece has never in her whole life called me,the few times I try to reach her she has never answered my call. The few times I then resort to texting a question, she sometimes replies very dryly as if I am a stranger.

The few text lines Thursday night were me asking if I could drop in to see the baby ( not a good time, she said) how about the next day ( don’t think so) how about on the weekend ( oh, I’ll be gone back home by then).

She was 2 miles away all week but could she call to invite me over? She visits her mom ( who is also cold and never contacts me) frequently with my grand nephew, and no one even tells me she is there.

I thought when I moved here in 2018 I would see my sister in law for lunch or shopping sometimes, being we live 2 miles rather than 40 miles away.

But I know now she just doesn’t give a bleep and I was the only one caring about her and her daughter, feelings were not returned to me.

It’s always tough when you first understand that a relationship is really just friendly from your side.

Has happened to me before.

It was so generous of you to include your niece in a business! How callous of her to not return your good deed with loyalty and hard work.

Thank you for your story, helps to not feel like this isn’t just me with this particular relationship break up. She is so selfish she doesn’t even know she hurt me all these years. I will protect my heart from her from now on.
I deleted her info and of course will never ask anything of her again.

I had a courageous friend who had MS. She always said, “If you can’t sleep because you are worried...turn it over to the Lord. He’s up all night anyway!”
