"Prudence is not indecision; it is not a defensive attitude," the pope told the bishops gathered in St. Peter's Basilica. "It is the virtue of the pastor who, in order to serve with wisdom, is able to discern, to be receptive to the newness of the Spirit."

Rekindling our gift in the fire of the Spirit ...Sounds familiar - arguments like these were used at the opening of the Second Vatican Council to justify insane ideas ...

"A fire does not burn by itself; it has to be fed or else it dies; it turns into ashes," said the pope. How does Bergoglio think the fires of Hell are fueled? He's the one feeding the souls to said fires.

“Newness of the Spirit” is pretty much what Episcopalians were told regarding accepting homosexual behavior. Oh and the need to “listen.”
Personally I am pretty sure what is pleasing to the Holy Spirit has been laid forth in Scripture and Church teaching. But what do I know?

Get ready for a blizzard of empty, Vatican II-era cliches about the "Spirit" and "the wind" and "renewal" "spring time" and "moving ever forward". Sadly, after 50+ years of this vacuous blather, lots of folks will still buy it.
As for "ashes", the only ashes of which I'm aware are those from the colossal Vatican II plane disaster; empty seminaries, closed parishes, religious orders on the verge of extinction, sodomites running riot etc......
