To: Tell It Right

You said that well.

Also, by your fruits you shall know them.

As Christians following God’s word, our actions should be noticeably different than the world’s, but it is still by faith we are saved.

Catholicism is contrary to what the bible teaches over and over.

The actions that church has taken over the centuries too are appalling.

The Bible is the word of God, one is best served to read it and seek Him.

Read James 2:14-26 and then tell me that it is Catholicism and not Protestantism that is contrary to the Bible.

You’re praying to dead people? Not only counter-productive, but against the Bible’s teachings.

Grace is never cheap.

It cost Jesus everything.

And there is no price on grace because it cannot be earned.

The minute you have to do something to *merit* it, it ceases to be grace and becomes wages due for work performed.

God declared Abraham righteous based on his faith decades before the sacrifice of Isaac thing.

You failed on that try of trying to justify works based salvation.

Could Scripture be any clearer in declaring that we are not saved by faith alone?

It appears you do not understand the passage.

Then read Ephesians 2:8-9 and explain how the Bible is contradicting itself.

Ephesians 2:8-9 For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.

In every way ebb tide.

Freepmail me if you’d like to discuss, it’s a long conversation though.

Grace is cheap if you abuse what Christ did on the Cross and continue in sin metmom.

Probably the same thing we all did. Dad.

That’s a weak argument though considering that’s not what the Bible means.

You will know them by their fruits. I implore you to study the history of the Church. There’s lots of it. Look at their fruits and tell me it’s of God.

Never regretted coming to Him for a millisecond

Would never go back to pagan Rome.

Same here bro. I don’t plan on swimming the Tiber anytime soon. I am amazed at how false religionists hang on to their false religions with a death grip. I don’t think I was quite that way.

You’re misconstruing the meaning.

But hey, let’s play then. Let’s start looking at some of these works.

Let’s begin with some of these.

Yes, by grace alone, not by faith alone. Both our faith and our works are the result of God’s grace. And since the Bible indeed does not contradict itself, James’ explicit statement that we are not saved by faith alone shows how the Protestant interpretation of Paul is false.

I know the fruits well and I choose the good fruit, not the evil fruit.

[16] By their fruits you shall know them. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? [17] Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit, and the evil tree bringeth forth evil fruit. [18] A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can an evil tree bring forth good fruit. [19] Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit, shall be cut down, and shall be cast into the fire. [20] Wherefore by their fruits you shall know them. Matthew Chapter 7.

You’re misconstruing the meaning.

Yes, the plane meaning of the words of Scripture must be false since they contradict the opinions of a 16th German monk. So much for the idea of sola Scriptura.
