It should be noted that HV only restated traditional Catholic (and Protestant) teaching. No major Christian group allowed ABC prior to 1930.
I think that by "ABC" you mean "artificial birth control".
I suggest that it also stands for "Abortion, Buggery, and Contraception" … and that your statement is true in that sense as well.
