John sure seemed to think one could understand salvation by "just reading" what he wrote as moved by the Spirit.

Unfortunately for you, what you think he wrote is not what he actually wrote.

You guys treat Holy Writ like it was a contract.

I believe of all the ludicrous arguments I have seen Roman Catholics appeal to this one takes the cake.

Congratulations, sir, you have surpassed Catholicanswers in reaching a new low in Roman Catholic apologetics.

You guys treat Holy Writ like it was a contract.

This is really sad....and revealing as well.

IF the Word of God cannot be trusted,....I don't know what to say to that.

I hope you come to a saving knowledge of Christ, and only Christ.

Joh 20:31  But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name.

1Jn_5:13  These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.

Alrighty then...Clue us in...What did John actually write in those verses???

So instead of just saying *You're wrong* and expecting us to believe you, which we won't without evidence, why not tell us what you think is right and provide the evidence to support it?

You guys treat Holy Writ like it was a contract.

It's better than how you guys treat it, which is generally with contempt the way you all dismiss and disparage it.
