You demand a specific answer--- from whom? Who could answer that question?

Should we ask George Neumayr to dig around the chancery dumpster? Maybe Frederic Martel could look in the windows with a drone!

I am pretty sure there is a spot for this guy in the SSPX.

I was banned by Church Militant a few years ago after I said some rather uncomplimentary things about Bergoglio. Looks like they've seen the light about Bergoglio now, though.

Amazing, huh! Only a Humble Jorge could draw Michael Voris' from his mistaken papolatry.

Now That It's Safe and Five Years Late, Michael Voris Okays Criticism of Francis Featured

Given the horror that has increasingly seized hold of the Church these past 50 years — and which has climbed to unimaginable heights under the pontificate of Pope Francis — now is the appropriate moment for the laity to offer comment, which we are rightly allowed to do according to canon law. “but this seems pretty over the top for a lowly bishthe op to exact on one priest and his parish.”

Episcopal, Methodists and ??? similar churches with bishops have been finding out the ‘parent’ church, Bishops owns and controls the church buildings and land in spite of the local church building, maintaining and keeping open for decades even centuries.

i keep wondering also... about the parishioners

if their parish is shut down??? Why would’t the bishop just send another priest in there, even on a temporary assignment? or am I missing something ?(probably, ha!).. or what?

thanks

This is an “Anglican rite” parish, part of the Ordinariate of St. Peter, in full communion with Rome, not a regular Novus Ordo Roman Catholic parish. Such parishes are former Anglican or Episcopal churches which have petitioned Rome to enter into full communion.

And yes...priests in the Anglican rite can be married.

Well, +Lopes is the bishop of the Ordinariate of the Chair of St. Peter, which is a specially-erected non-territorial Catholic diocese comprising (principally) ex-Anglicans who came back to the Catholic Church but were permitted to retain much of their Anglican culture and heritage. This includes an Anglican-rite Mass, which was carefully retrofitted to be in line with Catholic theology, but retains that gorgeous Elizabeth English which (I'm told) really reflects the majesty and solemnity of the Old Mass without being Latin.

Best of both worlds, in a way, say those who love it.

So by shuttering St. Bede's, this vindictive bishop is leaving this whole parish culturally/liturgically orphaned. It is unheard of. Truly shocking.

Yes, they can go to parishes in their regular geographical diocese (they are in St. Louis Park, MN, which is just a few minutes from downtown Minneapolis, hence the Archdiocese of St Paul/Minneapolis). But what are the chances they could get to an Anglican-rite Catholic parish? Zilch. So they've effectively been abandoned by their own diocese, the Ordinariate.

My hands are shaking as I type this. It is just unbelievably vindictive and cruel.

And for what? For what? It's not like they're doing anything other than upholding Catholicism.

It's sobering to realize that a number of canonized saints, including St. Athanasius, St. Mary McKillop, St. Hildegard of Bingen, St. Joan of Arc --- and more --- were treated unjustly, actually excommunicated, by the ecclesiastical judaspriests of their day.

Don't let the Great Splitter and Wrecker win. We need to suffer well. We need to refuse to leave the foot of the Cross. We need to be saints.

preach the truth......get excommunicated. bugger little boys....get a paid vacation and a new parish assignment.

At the least it is being very conservative that places a RC at risk of discipline, versus being liberal, in a church of factions in which conservatives have essentially become like evangelicals in one aspect, that of determining the validity of teaching based upon their own judgment of what ancient church teaching says (rather than how modernists interpret it).

The difference being that RCs look to historical RC teaching as their standard, while we are to look to the only wholly inspired-of-God and substantive record of what the New Testament church believed. Which is Scripture, especially Acts thru Revelation (revealing how the NT church understood the OT and gospels), in which distinctive Catholic teachings are not manifest.

Please, be assured that I will recant anything that I have said which is contrary to Catholic Faith; however I am not aware that I have articulated anything against the Catholic Faith. As a matter of accuracy, and so that I may be able to respond to what you believe I have articulated against the Catholic Faith, I ask that you please identify what I said that is contrary to our Catholic Faith? I will recant anything that was wrong to state as I remain faithful to the Church and Magisterium.

I see where the emphasis is NOT placed...

Something has gone very wrong within the Catholic Church.

It might be illuminating if the angel; that commanded John to write to the seven churches in Asia; returned to request another letter be written to the EIGHTH church: at ROME!!

I wonder what message it would contain...?

Ebb; are you secretly a PROT?

Seems that you manage to find stuff to post that continually show the Church in a bad light.
