Protestants and EO—if the EO wiki is to be believed—both believe that salvation is a free gift that works are the faithful response to.

As do the Catholics.

And the Eastern Orthodox believe:

• Personal salvation is a process.

• Personal salvation is both in the future and now.

• Faith is a starting point of one’s personal salvation.

• Baptism is the gateway on one’s path to salvation.

• Personal salvation requires a sustained effort even after baptism.

• No one can ever be assured of salvation.

Which sounds nothing like the Protestant theology of salvation.
