I thought the Holy Spirit was the Life Line.
That’s what I was thinking... er... John 14:26? Besides, if Mary is as pivotal/central as Catholicism claims, then there would be a “witness” to this...TWO actually. In all of Tanakh or NT, there is no such witness. She does actually fit/match the character of Semiramis however... by their own description and perspective.
I love Mary, the mother of God, but if she was all that the Catholic church says she is, it would be indicated in the scripture. Is she unique? Yes. Is she God's mother? Yes. Was she immaculately conceived? Not in scripture. Is she in any way a redeemer co or otherwise? No!! She birthed the Redeemer and she undoubtedly holds a special and unique place in the body. She also has a unique relationship with Jesus. She's His mother for Pete's sake.
Mary is special and she will hold a special place in heaven being Jesus' (God's) mother. She is not a co-redemtrix or a rope as Catholics assert - as far as scripture says.
The Holy Spirit is the rope - sorry!!
"The Spirit and the Bride say, "Come!"
Author states....”Those who will not avail themselves of the lifeline of Mary, will be lost.”.....
That is a false statement....God’s word tells us there is salvation ‘in no one else’ but Jesus..... for there is ‘no other name’ under heaven given among men by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12
We should respect Mary and Joseph and all the great men and women of the Bible days, in Old Testament and New Testament times. However, none should be put above Jesus and none should be put equal to Jesus. All of us and all of them are far below our wonderful Savior and Lord.
While every true Christian has the deepest respect for her we pay Mary no genuine honor by attributing to her qualities that are not supported in the revealed Scriptures.
