Whether you consider them infallible or not they are a part of the teaching of your church. Even the article you linked me to said that. The truth is catholics have no more unity on issues than protestants. All one has to do is look at catholic postings on free republic to see that.

The Catholics have unity in the dogma of the faith. There is one dogma for Catholics; the same can't be said for the Protestants.

No it didn't. They aren't a part of the infallible teachings of the Church except under certain criteria. The article said encyclicals remain "very important teaching documents" not that they are official teachings of the Church. You are proving why we shouldn't listen to you regarding what the Church teaches.
