Joseph (Step-Father of Christ) must have been sinless; too; for him to even be able to TOUCH Mary.

But; since you’ve decided (apparently) to hang around a bit; where in the catechism are you lay Catholics told that you must like the current pope?

...where in the catechism are you lay Catholics told that you must like the current pope?

I know that Mormons are warned about dissing any of THEIR leaders...

"Any Latter-day Saint who denounces or opposes, whether actively or otherwise, any plan or doctrine advocated by the 'prophets, seers, and revelators' of the Church is cultivating the spirit of apostacy..."
(Improvement Era, June 1945, p. 354)

Reinforced here......

MP3 File

This is the audio clip of Dallin H. Oaks, current Mormon Apostle leader, from the PBS documentary, "The Mormons", declaring unequivocally:

"IT'S WRONG TO CRITICIZE LEADERS OF THE (MORMON) CHURCH, EVEN IF THE CRITICISM IS TRUE."

Don't criticize?

And here:

Temple Recommend Questions:

1 Do you have faith in and a testimony of God the Eternal Father, His Son Jesus Christ, and the Holy Ghost?

2 Do you have a testimony of the Atonement of Christ and of His role as Savior and Redeemer?

3 Do you have a testimony of the restoration of the gospel in these the latter days?

4 Do you sustain the President of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints as the Prophet, Seer, and Revelator and as the only person on the earth who possesses and is authorized to exercise all priesthood keys? Do you sustain members of the First Presidency and the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles as prophets, seers, and revelators? Do you sustain the other General Authorities and local authorities of the Church?

5 Do you live the law of chastity?

6 Is there anything in your conduct relating to members of your family that is not in harmony with the teachings of the Church?

7 Do you support, affiliate with, or agree with any group or individual whose teachings or practices are contrary to or oppose those accepted by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints?

8 Do you strive to keep the covenants you have made, to attend your sacrament and other meetings, and to keep your life in harmony with the laws and commandments of the gospel?

9 Are you honest in your dealings with your fellowmen?

10 Are you a full-tithe payer?

11 Do your keep the Word of Wisdom?

12 Do you have financial or other oblgations to a former spouse or children? If yes, are you current in meeting those obligations?

13 If you have previously received your temple endowment:

Do you keep the covenants that you made in the temple?

Do you wear the garment both night and day as instructed in the endowment and in accordance with the covenant you made in the temple?

14 Have there been any sins or misdeeds in your life that should have been resolved with priesthood authorities but have not been?

15 Do you consider yourself worthy to enter the Lord's house and participate in temple ordinances?

Oh, they can say that their leaders were NOT speaking for GOD when they said    WHATEVER    but that's NOT the same as criticizing!

( Remember fellow Christians:  the Mormon's criticize US because they've been taught that they CAN'T criticize ANY of their leaders; so they HAVE to vent somehow! )

That's what the Holy Spirit is for.

John 15:26 But when the Helper comes, whom I will send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth, who proceeds from the Father, he will bear witness about me.

If God Himself is incapable of doing enough for you, then what makes you think adding a human to the mix is going to help?

Catholicism biggest problem is that it presents a God who is reluctant to save. He just barely tolerates us and is ready to throw us under the bus the minute we slip up. So He needs to be convinced somehow to save us.

Nothing could be further from the truth.

This is how the Holy Spirit refers to Mary.

John 2:1 On the third day there was a wedding at Cana in Galilee, and the mother of Jesus was there.

John 2:3 When the wine ran out, the mother of Jesus said to him, “They have no wine.”

Acts 1:14 All these with one accord were devoting themselves to prayer, together with the women and Mary the mother of Jesus, and his brothers.

Oooops, *mother of God* is not in Scripture.

Catholics better ignore the term then, right?

so that "the Holy Spirit acts only by the Most Blessed Virgin, his Spouse." A hen pecked husband in submission to his wife, eh?

it gets worse, for it is asserted/imagined of this demigoddess:

...in the supernatural and spiritual generation there is a father who is God and a mother who is Mary; she is Mother of her Creator...through Whom the Holy Trinity is sanctified; The power thus put into her (Mary’s) hands is all but unlimited; surpassing in power all the angels and saints in Heaven; At the command of Mary all obey, even God. She is omnipotent; Virgin most powerful; the greatness of the power which she wields over one who is God cannot be conceived; all in heaven and on earth, even God himself, is subject to the Blessed Virgin...she seems to have the same power as God. Her prayers and requests are so powerful with him that he accepts them as commands in the sense that he never resists his dear mother’s prayer because it is always humble and conformed to his will; when she acts, it is also He who acts; and that if her intervention be not accepted, neither is His.... Her position as "the first of all creatures, the most acceptable child of God, the nearest and dearest to him".. through her alone does He dispense His favours and His gifts; there is no grace which Mary cannot dispose of as her own, which is not given to her for this purpose;" above the Cherubim and higher than the Seraphim, right near God Himself!; Mary has authority over the angels and the blessed in heaven...God gave her the power and the mission of assigning to saints the thrones made vacant by the apostate angels who fell away through pride....all the angels in heaven unceasingly call out to her...They greet her countless times each day with the angelic greeting, "Hail, Mary", while prostrating themselves before her, begging her as a favour to honour them with one of her requests...The whole world is filled with her glory...Whatever desires the patriarchs may have cherished, whatever entreaties the prophets and saints of the Old Law may have had for 4,000 years to obtain that treasure, it was Mary alone who merited it; sometimes salvation is quicker if we remember Mary's name then if we invoked the name of the Lord Jesus; No one achieves salvation except through you...No one receives grace except through you; Thou are all-powerful in saving sinners; Beware, chosen soul, of thinking that it is more perfect to direct your work and intention straight to Jesus or straight to God; Lady in heaven, we have but one advocate, and that is thyself, and thou alone art truly loving and solicitous for our salvation; through her are obtained every hope, every grace, and all salvation. For this is his will, that we obtain everything through Mary; in Heaven we have but one advocate, and that is Thyself; and that Thou alone art truly loving and solicitous for our welfare; .you love us with a love that no other love can surpass. How often you appease the wrath of our Divine Judge, when He is on the point of punishing us! All the treasures of the mercy of God are in your hands; she had to suffer, as He did, all the consequences of sin. It was not only during the Passion that Jesus and Mary suffered for our sins; We were condemned through the fault of one woman; we are saved through the merits of another woman; to her, Jesus owes His Precious Blood...

Sources and more.

Hen pecked God, too.

Mary sure is powerful.

Take away Mary and most of Catholicism would collapse.

Here’s a free tip: sola scriptura is not in scripture.

***

Yes it is.

If you use the ACTUAL sola scriptura definition of Scripture being infallible, the supreme authority in matters of faith, and sufficient for salvation.

“but these are written so that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name.” There, sola scriptura is in Scripture. QED.

But go ahead and believe that propaganda if it helps you sleep at night.

Luke 2:28–32 records the realization of prophesy by Shim‘on, not induction as a talmid (disciple). Culturally speaking, there’s a bit more to the process of becoming a talmid. It’s a reasonably in-depth process. In that day, it involved immersion (baptism) “into” the teaching of whoever the talmid was following, among other things.

The truly sad part, aside from the blasphemous writing, is not one single Roman Catholic will dismiss this as heresy.

Not one.

This is why "tradition" is rejected.

Both. You are the only one that thinks Christ can serve only one role. Stop limiting a limitless God

For, There is one God and one Mediator who can reconcile God and humanity—the man Christ Jesus.

IF, the Roman Catholic believes this, then Mary is not needed.

IF, the Roman Catholic believes this, the Catechism is wrong in regards to Mary as Mediatrix.

Scripture is clear it is only Christ Who is our Mediator. He needs zero help from any created being.

Evidently, Joseph ”TOUCHED” Mary a number of times, since she had so many kids.

Blasphemous nonsense. The Roman Church is apostate and leading sinners to hell if they believe half of the crap. Yes crap straight from the pit of hell. It would be funny if so much was not at stake.

Why? Catholics hold their traditions as superior to scripture so who cares what the Bible says?
