We all have some challenge(s) to overcome and I truly pity those who suffer with same sex attractions.
That being said, the “God made me this way” belief doesn’t feel or seem accurate enough to rationalize anyone’s sins into heaven.
“Celebrating a disorder and attributing it to God is injurious to us and insulting to him. Any distortions that have come into the human family have come as a result of sin, original and personal.We can’t wait until we are perfect first before we come to God. That’s not going to happen.Don’t blame God. We live in a fallen world, governed by a fallen angel, and we have fallen natures. This is something to be sober about, not to celebrate.”
Instead, we must come to Him as we are, sins and all, and seek His Help and Grace to overcome those sins and their strongholds within us, not celebrate them.
I hope the Mayor doesn’t mistake Christ’s Love, Mercy and Grace as being His acceptance or His celebration of our sins.
That’s a dangerous belief to take to the grave.
