The posters who've risen here in defense of Halloween demonstrate a very childish attitude ("come on! It's no big deal") and wouldn't benefit from having quoted to them the sober and clear scriptures that forbid serving God the same way the pagans serve their idols.

The problem you have is that once you go down that road, you discover you've undermined the observance of other common and fun holidays. This will include, but not be limited to, Christmas and Easter.

Halloween reminds me of what God tells us in Isaiah chapter 14:

12 How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!
