Easiest way to start solving that problem is to eliminate celibacy. There really isn’t any biblical basis for it, and it wasn’t always true in the Church anyway. Let priests marry, and I suspect the amount of homosexuality and pederasty would see a sharp decline.
I don’t know. Episcopal Church USA (and its CoE parent) allow married priests... and they seem to attract no shortage of LGBT clergy.
Homosexual men do not want to marry women, so eliminating celibacy will accomplish absolutely nothing.
The instances of pederasty is statistically much higher among public school teachers than it is among the Catholic clergy. Celibacy is not the problem.
The Eastern Rites Catholics do have traditional married priests.
I see your point, and it introduces another issue - you can only be married to your wife or the Church.
Other denominations make it work i suppose.
I agree with the Abp, homosexuality is killing the Church. The mustard seed parable is coming true - it is a nesting place for crows.
