We acknowledge God and Jesus in prayer.
You must believe in a higher power and eternal life to become a Mason.
A Buddhist, Hindu, etc cannot be made a Mason
Masonry is not a religion.
Masonry seeks to unite men of all sects, the high the low, rich poor and regards no man on account of his worldly goods.
It is the internal, not the external, which makes a Mason.
We don’t teach anything except that you will one day sail past that bourne from which no man returns to that place eternal in the heavens and your body will be returned to the earth as dust, the same as the dust from which we were created.
Little wordy there. Does that help?
“A Buddhist, Hindu, etc cannot be made a Mason”
Not sure I buy that, I mean the lodges of India don’t have any Hindus in them?

Yes, thanks.
I asked because my grandfather was a mason and at his funeral, the masons came and did a brief ceremony that never mentioned Christ.
As a side note, my uncle was the head guy in the US a few years back...
