These Mason posts have been making me think of Catholics- male hierarchy with lots of mysterious symbols and rituals and a medieval flair, and odd costumes. And very secretive at the higher levels.
If I recall, the Catholic Order of Albino Assassin Monks are obligated by their blood vows to slay any Mason they discover.
