Having the Holy Spirit enlighten me as I read he holy books, which of themselves are a rule of Faith for me, that is the mode I use.

But even then, as per Roman Catholicism and what many have told us on these threads, you cannot understand the texts without a priest to explain them to you.

That is what I was told, when I was a catholic. I was such a horrible, terrible, incorrigible, rebellious, independent minded catholic, however, that I picked a Bible, and started reading it, and interpreting it for myself, just to spite them. 😊 Oh the horror of it all. That’s when I became a YOPIOS kind of guy, and left that religion, once and for all. 👍
