Whatever the answer may be (is God somewhere out there keeping score?), I'm sure that it's one of you against the other, and I'm also sure that the struggle will continue until the world ends and we find which of you was right.

Indeed, and as Scripture is the only wholly inspired substantive authoritative record of what the NT church believed, then I invite you to substantive where the missing Catholic distinctives are manifest therein.

My daughter and son-in-law do not eat a meal without first holding hands with their son and daughter and saying a blessing, whether they are at home, guests at another’s house, or out in public in a restaurant, preferably Chick-fil-a. They do not do this to show how spiritual they are. They do it because they are spiritual, even if it means being scorned or pointed at or made fun of.

In the same way, I make the sign of the cross. It is my way of entering into the presence of God in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.

Amen

It is called the “Mystery of Faith” because all of our senses tell us it is bread, except our ears, which are docile to the teaching of Jesus Christ.

Catholics call everything they can't understand that's logically inconsistent and downright contradictory a *mystery*.

It's just an out.

God is not illogical nor contradictory and God will not violate His own laws.

Matthew 26:28 “for this is My blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for forgiveness of sins. “

Which is POURED OUT for the forgiveness of sins, not CONSUMED for the forgiveness os sins.

His blood is poured out.

His resurrected body doesn’t have blood. You cannot drink the blood of Jesus’ resurrected body.

Nor did Jesus specify which body He meant in John 6 so the Catholic church claiming it’s His resurrected body is just an assumption.

Tabernacles are temporary resting places for Jesus,

Nonsense.

Jesus indwells the life of the person who have been born again through faith in Him.

Romans 8:9 You, however, are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if in fact the Spirit of God dwells in you. Anyone who does not have the Spirit of Christ does not belong to him.

1 Corinthians 3:16-17 Do you not know that you are God's temple and that God's Spirit dwells in you? If anyone destroys God's temple, God will destroy him. For God's temple is holy and you are that temple.

1 Corinthians 6:19-20 Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body.

2 Corinthians 6:16For we are the temple of the living God; as God said,“I will make my dwelling among them and walk among them, and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.

2 Timothy 4:14 By the Holy Spirit who dwells within us, guard the good deposit entrusted to you.

Galatians 4:4-7 But when the fullness of time had come, God sent forth his Son, born of woman, born under the law, to redeem those who were under the law, so that we might receive adoption as sons. And because you are sons, God has sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, crying, “Abba! Father!” So you are no longer a slave, but a son, and if a son, then an heir through God.

1 Timothy 1:14 By the Holy Spirit who dwells within us, guard the good deposit entrusted to you.

1 John 2:27 But the anointing that you received from him abides in you, and you have no need that anyone should teach you. But as his anointing teaches you about everything, and is true, and is no lie—just as it has taught you, abide in him.

If that is the case then the concept of "God in a box" is nullified.

“His resurrected body doesn’t have blood”

So are you implying that the Risen Christ does not have a heart? Or maybe He has a heart but it doesn’t have to pump anything? How do you know this?

Oh, maybe Jesus is pure spirit now, like the lying deceiving spirits that invented all of the heresies that so many are infected with these days?

We are aware that some concepts are beyond the grasp of human reason. The only way we know they are true is by the gift of Faith, which the unbaptized do not have.

Protestants attempt to make the Faith reasonable, as if human reason is the measure of all things. This results in many contradictions and negations.

His yoke is easy. Accept it whole and entire. Later on we will understand more fully the things that we cannot comprehend now.

Do you have other incidents recorded in the Sacred Scriptures where God breathed directly on man? Please, educate me.

Yes, the only other time that God breathed on man is when he formed Adam from the slime of the Earth in breathed into his nostrils the breath of life.
Wow...what a lack of understanding of the New Testament.

We are aware that some concepts are beyond the grasp of human reason. The only way we know they are true is by the gift of Faith, which the unbaptized do not have.

If baptism gives one faith, then that does not disqualify me from whatever you claim Catholics have as a result. I was baptized and confirmed a Catholic.

And we are constantly told that baptism leaves an indelible mark on the soul and that once a Catholic, always a Catholic.

However, God is not irrational or illogical. Two contradictory things cannot both be true and to try to explain them away as a *mystery of the faith* is just damage control.

Prove Jesus does have blood in His resurrected body.

You do know that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God (1 Corinthians 15:50), don't you? His body is a resurrected body, not an earthly body redone.

1 Corinthians 15:35-58 But someone will ask, “How are the dead raised? With what kind of body do they come?” You foolish person! What you sow does not come to life unless it dies. And what you sow is not the body that is to be, but a bare kernel, perhaps of wheat or of some other grain. But God gives it a body as he has chosen, and to each kind of seed its own body. For not all flesh is the same, but there is one kind for humans, another for animals, another for birds, and another for fish. There are heavenly bodies and earthly bodies, but the glory of the heavenly is of one kind, and the glory of the earthly is of another. There is one glory of the sun, and another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars; for star differs from star in glory.

So is it with the resurrection of the dead. What is sown is perishable; what is raised is imperishable. It is sown in dishonor; it is raised in glory. It is sown in weakness; it is raised in power. It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. If there is a natural body, there is also a spiritual body. Thus it is written, “The first man Adam became a living being”; the last Adam became a life-giving spirit. But it is not the spiritual that is first but the natural, and then the spiritual. The first man was from the earth, a man of dust; the second man is from heaven. 48 As was the man of dust, so also are those who are of the dust, and as is the man of heaven, so also are those who are of heaven. Just as we have borne the image of the man of dust, we shall also bear the image of the man of heaven.

I tell you this, brothers: flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God, nor does the perishable inherit the imperishable. Behold! I tell you a mystery. We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised imperishable, and we shall be changed. For this perishable body must put on the imperishable, and this mortal body must put on immortality. When the perishable puts on the imperishable, and the mortal puts on immortality, then shall come to pass the saying that is written:

“Death is swallowed up in victory.”“O death, where is your victory? O death, where is your sting?”

The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain.

I see you continue to bring little or nothing of substance to the debate.

Now would be a good time for you to withdraw from the conversation as you continue to embarrass yourself.

Sorry, but you are incorrect. I was Roman, served as an altar boy, And in college came to saving faith in Christ.

The Roman host is not the Glorified Christ. If it were you would be blinded. Prove it to yourself by examining the Scriptures.

Also, before He ascended to heaven - when he instituted the Lord’s Supper - He was not glorified.

So, to make it have a bit of splendor, Rome must surround it with an imitation of glory. Something no Apostle is recorded doing.

You can buy them online, btw. False glory for sale.

And if you asked them which party was cited the most, I am quite sure it would be RCs vs evangelicals, if they kept count.

I can't quite forget this thread from four years ago, but I am quite sure that everyone will say that another party is more at fault. It's a relief that in a world this divided and confused, we can all agree on at least one doctrine.

I think your belief that Jesus’ resurrected body does not contain blood or a heart for that matter, that needs to be explained, as most Christians, not just Catholics, would find such a view quite extraordinarily. The burden of proof is on you.

Actually, belief in the True Presence is quite humbling doctrine. The more one draws closer to Jesus Christ present in the Blessed Sacrament, the more humility one must acquire, there is no room for the proud of heart.

We receive the living glorified body of Jesus Christ, but He hides his glory and divinity from us. We are washed clean in His Blood. His Blood is upon the lintels of our souls to save us from the angel of death. In Holy Communion we have a much greater miracle than what happened in Egypt on Passover.

Once He did show me some of His glory when I received Him in Holy Communion. It is a Love that I will never forget as long as I live. There are no words that can describe it.
