Mine is a face that patients are sometimes surprised to see at the Planned Parenthood health center in Portland.
For the past few years, four other faith leaders and I have served as volunteer chaplains. Were proud to be part of a highly professional and highly caring health care team. Along with our Planned Parenthood colleagues, were committed to showing care and respect for the whole person, including her (or his) physical, emotional and spiritual well-being. As chaplains, we undertake this work not in spite of, but because of our faith and values.
There are some who assume that if youre a person of faith, you must stand in opposition to all that Planned Parenthood represents, but thats far from true. Throughout the U.S., according to the Public Religion Research Institute, the majority of religiously affiliated people support sexual and reproductive health, rights and justice. Promoting health care for all, including reproductive and sexual health care, is an important religious value, and that commitment is nothing new. Clergy were among the earliest supporters of Margaret Sanger and other pioneers of the family planning movement.

If abortion is reproductive health, then
- whale-hunting is oceanic health,
- strip-mining is wilderness health, and
- clubbing and skinning makes for a healthier seal pup.

were committed to showing care and respect for the whole person Except for the other person in the situation. Do they just ignore the innocent human child that had nothing to do with being conceived? Sure sounds like it. Jesus is NOT proud.

Ask the child if he/she wants to be aborted. Give the child a choice!
This is the most American, individual-oriented response. Let each person decide, at the age of reason, if he wishes to be terminated. So, you dont get permission to abort your kid until he is 18, and then just try to get that retroactive abortion.

This bozo may pretend to be a minister, but he is not a shepherd of Jesus’ flock.

Men and women have infiltrated all the churches no matter what faith you are. If your pastor is like this FIND ANOTHER PASTOR!

Just because they wore robes doesn't mean that they were Clergy...their robes had matching HOODS.
Pointy hoods.

Life and liberty begins at conception. If one does not believe this, they are godless. The godless have murdered at least half a billion people.
