He did not say it was to appropriate Christ or to come to Him.
It is to proclaim the Lord's death until He comes again.
2605 kataggéllō (from 2596 /katá, "according to, down to a point," intensifying aggellō, "declare, announce") – properly, exactly, decisively announce; to herald (proclaim) a message in a definite (binding) way.
And Jesus clearly established the REMEMBRANCE the night BEFORE He went o the cross!... But of course a Catholic Priest cannot acknowledge that since it erodes their institutional authority.
