Sorry to burst your bubble friend, but when a Catholic finds a Bible-teaching, non-squishy evangelical Christian church, they rarely return. That includes me and many, many other friends.
The ones who return to the mother Church are usually those who spent a number of years without a church, period. But those who become a Christian, and study the Bible, and immerse themselves in the non-Catholic manner of worship and study have their eyes opened. They never look back.
Well actually you couldnt be more wrong. I returned after 10 years when I concluded that Sola Scriptura is an absolute fraud. The Tradition of the Church cannot be dismissed and replaced by the personal interpretations of scripture pedalled by 10s of thousands of individual ministers. Try reading Clement of Rome, Ignatius of Antioch, Polycarp of Smyrna, and Papias of Hierapolis, Augustine and John Chrysostom, many of whom lived at the time of the Apostles and were not products of a wealthy, Emperor supported Church.
