I think some people are simply too Bible-illiterate to successfully defend their positions. It's become easy to just give links to the words others have labored to write and attach ones "dittos" to them. I doubt seriously that they have ever even tried to look at Luther's works objectively and take the time to understand his words in context. Nearly every quote I've seen them use to smear the man are either piecemeal snippets, someone else's words, misquotes or totally missing ANY reference. Quite a few are actually plagiarized versions of other anti-Luther RCs making the same mistakes!

I don't know a whole lot about Luther, but if he was an ex catholic, then I think he was probably just fine. Same as me. I have assurance of salvation Ebb, whether you like it, or agree with it or not. If you have no assurance of salvation, I fail to see where that is my problem. That is your problem bro. When I point this out, his response is to misquote and cherry pick ME.
