It’s true.
Hyperbole was necessary for the time in which Dr. Luther was living, I’m sure. Much like President Trump today, Martin Luther was speaking directly to the people and so spoke in the language of the people.
Even so, many years after it can be a little tough to navigate.
It’s not that difficult to find the misquotes, misrepresentations, and cherry-picking in the attacking links, though.

Our salvation is a done deal and God does not disown us when we sin. That is the part I think a lot of believers have a hard time really understanding.
We commit sin and know we deserve punishment....yet, the Father doesn't kick us out of the family. He may take us to the woodshed....but never kicks us out of the family.
