Wait - so the Catholics are letting Jews give communion!?
An aside - having wine and bread was a pretty ordinary - everyday event. I understand the reasons that we have turned it into a Holy Sacrament - and it is. BUT - I also bet that Jesus was saying “EVERY time you guys get together and eat - remember me.”
BINGO!!! Notice, He DIDN’T say, “only those who I approve or who I deem worthy” do this in remembrance of me. He also didn’t stipulate that it should only be practiced while in the confines of a ‘formal Mass’.
The apostles were Jewish as well.. so no inconsistencies there..lets not let this dissolve into a typical debate on transubstantiation shall we.
