You are right. We should just ignore all of Scripture. It is all a made up fairy tale.
Huh? Are you serious?
Dodgers fan, are you?
A serious question. Why did Jesus heal on the Sabbath?
This is not how a conversation works. Least not in my neck of the woods.
I answered you but you won’t answer a question. You never respond to what’s been asked you and I’ll be blankety-blank-blank if I’m going all the way back to kindergarten level Sunday School.
My ass has not fallen into a ditch, but it’s beginning to look a lot like someone else’s has.
Except here - Jesus replied, "Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah, for this was not revealed to you by flesh and blood, but by my Father in heaven. And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. Mat 16:17-18
FoF
You are really far back in the thread and incorrect.
Peter’s confession was the Rock upon which Christ built - not a church - His Assembly.
Well, this is exactly how a conversation works. You make an absurd statement, and I reply with the truth. Then you are supposed to show why your lie is somehow truth.
Are you accusing me of lying?
Here’s something you might find to be interesting
Please forgive me
Should be a simple yes or no. But dont fret.....youre not the first Roman Catholic to avoid the question. I can understand why.
It’s no big deal.
Have a good night.
Good question, FOF! Was Jesus saying that no one would ever die or be hungry or thirsty again - LITERALLY - or was He speaking of our eternal spiritual life, hunger and thirst? It's not that difficult, really. Of course he wasn't talking about nobody being exempt from a physical death - plenty of Christians were martyred and EVERYONE eventually dies. Of course He didn't mean nobody will ever be physically hungry or thirsty again - we ALL will. BUT...when we consider the spiritual aspect, we understand that we will NEVER die spiritually, we will NEVER hunger or thirst after we have received the bread of life and the water of life. No, Jesus wasn't lying, He was speaking of a SPIRITUAL truth that requires the indwelling Holy Spirit to understand.
Do you take it literally?
Obviously God turned the roll into an Eclair...
Thumbs up!
What part of Jesus isn't made out of bread do YOU not understand???
Hey, you have your understanding of Jesus' words and I have mine. You won't convince me yours is the better argument and it's obvious I'm not getting through to you. Do you at least acknowledge that I can have a genuine faith in Jesus Christ and not buy into Catholicism?
That is what 'This is My Body' means
But his body was bread...His flesh was bread...
Joh_6:51 I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever: and the bread that I will give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.
Jesus' flesh was bread, according to Jesus...
At this point in time Jesus was not passing out bread, yet he said 'THIS', (speaking of his body) 'BREAD',,,,,,,,,,,,
There's nothing anywhere that indicates Jesus turned a loaf of bread into bloody meat...If anything, his body was turned into some Pumpernickel or Rye...
You're trying to convince us that in one verse Jesus spoke literally when in every verse associated with it involves a metaphor...You're just fooling yourself...
Mat 13:13 Therefore speak I to them in parables: because they seeing see not; and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand.
Mat 13:14 And in them is fulfilled the prophecy of Esaias, which saith, By hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and shall not perceive:
Mat 13:15 For this people's heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them.
Mat 13:16 But blessed are your eyes, for they see: and your ears, for they hear.
Mat 13:17 For verily I say unto you, That many prophets and righteous men have desired to see those things which ye see, and have not seen them; and to hear those things which ye hear, and have not heard them.
You might want to consider that...
The Catechism of the Catholic Church lets us know that the Eucharist is a memorial:
1409 The Eucharist is the memorial of Christs Passover, that is, of the work of salvation accomplished by the life, death, and resurrection of Christ, a work made present by the liturgical action.
The Catechism calls the Eucharist a sacrifice in multiple places.
That is a terrible blog....is it yours? Whoever it belongs to needs to take the thing down.
He could not have been human.
So He was made out of bread?
If He is the bread, then where did the blood come from?
Was He bread, like this perhaps?
