MILWAUKEE, Wisconsin, December 20, 2017 (LifeSiteNews) With the approval of his archbishop, a Catholic priest announced to his parish and to the world that he is a homosexual during Sunday Mass.
The Rev. Gregory Greiten, a priest of the Milwaukee Archdiocese and pastor of St. Bernadette Parish, said, I am Greg. I am a Roman Catholic priest. And, yes, I am gay!
In a carefully crafted one-two punch, Greitens Sunday announcement was quickly followed on Monday by a lengthy column penned by the homosexual priest for the National Catholic Reporter (NCR).
Not once in the over 2,200 word NCR commentary did Greiten acknowledge the Lordship of Jesus Christ or his dedication to him; nor was the importance of repentance and confession mentioned. And while Greitens proclamation makes it abundantly clear he is gay, conspicuously absent is a declaration of personal chastity.
Milwaukee Archbishop approves homosexual pastors homily and NCR screed
In advance of the Sunday announcement, Milwaukee's archbishop, the Most Rev. Jerome Listecki, met with Greiten, who warned his superior of his plans. Rather than forbid or counsel against the priests actions, Listecki instead issued a statement backing his announcement.
We support Father Greiten in his own, personal journey and telling his story of coming to understand and live with his sexual orientation, said Listecki. As the Church teaches, those with same-sex attraction must be treated with understanding and compassion. As priests who have made a promise to celibacy, we know that every week there are people in our pews who struggle with the question of homosexuality.

If a priest “came out” as a fornicator. Would he support that too?
You can be a gay priest. You just can’t be a practicing gay priest. And that means if you are actively gay. You can’t be a practicing priest. But You can be a gay priest.

How the Catholic Priesthood Became an Unlikely Haven for Many Gay Men
Milwaukee, Timothy Dolan’s old Archdiocese. No surprise to me.
I wonder if Bergoglio is telling them to do this?
Why not?
And Catholics on this board regularly condemn Protestant churches that have openly gay clergy.
Go figure.....
I wonder if Bergoglio is telling them to do this?
Is the Pope Catholic?
Good question.
I guess gay orgies will be in thing now that the priests in Rome do it.
