What’s weird is that you guys feel you can freely continue to sin because they have already been forgiven.

Where did I say that?

Where did ANY of us say that?

Can you, or rather will you, provide the links to said comments where any of us have stated that we believe that?

I suspect the answer to that is no as there aren't any and I know you won't be able to find any.

You do realize that making false accusations like that is bearing false witness, which is breaking on of the Ten Commandments.

That does put it in the mortal sin category, you know.

That's two within the span of one hour for ebb. Per the Catechism it only takes one.

Ebb, honestly....does it bother you that per Roman Catholicism, you've lost Heaven until you gain benefit of confession to a priest?

Well, it's only you protestants and muslims who think they already have assurance of salvation despite any future sins they commit.

All my sins were future sins to Jesus when He died for them.

He's got those covered as well, being outside time and all.

When I was in the OTC, I couldn’t seem to get anyone who could tell me the difference between what a mortal sin was, or what a venial sin was. I just wanted to know, so I could commit just enough sin, to avoid a mortal sin.

ebb tide: What's weird is that you guys feel you can freely continue to sin because they have already been forgiven.

What an absurd statement.

Catholics have been painting non-Catholics with that notion for years here at FR.

Anyone that knows anything about regeneration, having a new heart thanks to Jesus, and believing the scriptures about being one with Jesus, would never say a completely false statement like that.

A spiel like that only shows that a person has no idea what having a relationship with Jesus is.

Probably caused by vain repetitions while fondling beads, thinking that purgatory is real, believing that demonic apparitions are Mary (ie , Guadalupe 1531, Rue du Bac 1830, La Salette 1846, Lourdes 1858, Pontmain 1871, Knock 1879, Fatima 1917 etc) and taking the "wafer" from the hands of a pedophile. One Catholic once said on FR that that was perfectly acceptable.

No wonder Catholicism is in such a decline.

Catholicism is more about the Catholic Mary (NOT the Mary of the Bible) then it is about Jesus.

Bearing false witness against any one who doesn't fall in line with Catholic teaching is a grievous sin.

Need I say SOP?
