Prayers up 2DV
Bogie
Sorry hes going through this. Prayers to him and your family sent.
Mom died last year of this cancer, so I know how it is. She died 3 months after diagnosis.
Would encourage the man to focus back on the basics — Jesus who died on Calvary for all willing to believe, to lay their spirit’s load on Him (which, oddly enough, I actually first heard from a Catholic despite being of an evangelical following). The rest recedes into so much religious window dressing when the chips are down.
This is an evangelical presentation, but it might help...

Prayers up.
you can count on my prayers.
So sorry. Prayers for all.
Prayers up for Ed.
Sorry for your father-in-laws health issues. Praying away cancer is a pretty tall order, although I believe in faith and prayer.
I also believe that getting old and breaking down is a part of God’s plan. It is excruciating to watch and experience the loss of our health or even minds as we age, in my late 50s, I am frustrated by encroaching feebleness; however, it can not be denied that this isn’t part of God’s plan as well.
I also believe in a loving and merciful God, and in the eternal nature of the human soul.
I pray that if it be God’s will that your Father-in-law be healed that he speedily recovers.
I also pray that we all become humble before our Father in Heaven and with a bowed head realize that whatever comes next after this life is both inescapable and also a essential part of his plan.
If God truly is merciful and full of love, the next phase of his plane will be even more joyful than this life is capable of, and we will see and be with our loved ones once more.
So sorry to hear it, 2DV. May God be merciful and kind to his servant Ed.
May God grant Ed and your entire family His peace and love through this very trying time. As one who has experience this, it is especially difficult during the holidays. May Christ watch over Ed as he moves to the great feast of Christ and comfort your family until we all arrive home.
Praying for Ed and you and your family.
Prayers up. So sorry, Vet.
Prayers sent for Ed - been watching our son waste away and suffer for 3 years, 3 months may be its own blessing.
