God’s word does not need any one church’s stamp of approval to make it authentic, inspired, or Scripture.

It is so by it’s very nature as being God breathed, Holy Spirit inspired, Truth.

That makes it, and it alone, inerrant, infallible, authoritative, and Scripture.

The fact that the Catholic church recognizes it is to their credit, even though they were late to the party, but that recognition certainly doesn’t add anything to Scripture or make it what it already was.

Exactly! When I read someone say their church determined what belonged in the Bible, I get a picture of a group of men in funny hats sitting around a pile of writings and picking out which ones agreed with them from those that didn't as if the very act of their decisions endowed the writings as God-breathed. What we DO know from history is that the churches received the writings they were given from the Apostles already knowing they were Divinely-inspired because they had the example from the writings of Moses and the prophets which Jesus recognized as from the Holy Spirit (holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit). It wasn't up to the members (or leadership) of those churches to individually decide what they should accept and obey. In fact, Paul said if anyone refused to obey the teachings they were given, that person(s) should be noted and they were not to associate with them (see II Thess. 3:14). Both Peter and John also said as such.

It's funny when such people accuse Martin Luther of doing what they take pride in saying they did!

Finally, what God has spoken in His word is truth even if NOBODY believes it. We are to believe and obey what He has said to us not quibble over what is or is not sacred Scripture. That is the height of hubris and arrogance! God dealt harshly with Israel for their treatment of His prophets and their disobedience to His word.
