In my mind, “issues” are politics. For example, abortion is an issue.
I think church leaders ought to speak out and warn the congregants that voting for an abortion-promoting politician means they will have blood on their hands. And drawing attention to the fact that certain politicians have no fear of openly supporting abortion, homosexual “marriage” and adoption deserves to be addressed.
