Cardinal Sarah is attacked precisely because he is seen as having the makings of a pope. Cardinal Sarah, Cardinal Burke, Bishop Athanasius Schneider -- I'd be happy with any one of them.

A very good man. If Pope Francis goes after him, he may find that he is offending the left, even though Cardinal Sarah is a defender of orthodoxy.

I wanted Cardinal Sarah to be Pope so badly when Benedict stepped down. God bless him. And Cardinal Burke, too!

So Francis can “clarify” things when he disagrees with them.
I will say that I am not surprised that Sarah was wrong.

And there is the matter of the Ecumenical Mass, a liturgy designed to unite Catholics and Protestants around the Holy Table. Though never officially announced, a committee reporting directly to Pope Francis has been working on this liturgy for some time. Certainly this topic is within the jurisdiction of the Congregation for Divine Worship, but Cardinal Sarah has not officially been informed of the committees existence. According to good sources, Sarahs secretary, Arthur Rochewho holds positions opposite to those of Benedict XVI and Sarahis involved, as is Piero Marini, the right-hand man of Monsignor Bugnini, author of such noted works as La Chiesa in Iran and Novus Ordo Missae.Very disturbing: ecumenical masses and inter-communion. Bergoglio is out to destroy the Catholic Church; fortunately the Holy Ghost will not allow him to succeed.
