SAN FRANCISCO, California, October 11, 2017 (LifeSiteNews) Four U.S. Catholic bishops and another from New Zealand have offered their names in support of Jesuit Father James Martins project of outreach to LGBT Catholics.
According to Father Martins book publisher, Church hierarchy is continuing to endorse his message in light of backlash from some unofficial far-right Catholic groups leading to the cancellation of three scheduled lectures.
Many Catholic leaders have stepped forward to offer forceful new support for Father Martin and his message of respect, compassion, and sensitivity, a HarperOne news release said.
The additional church leaders (who) have also lent their support for Fr. Martins project of outreach to LGBT Catholics are Cardinal Blase Cupich of Chicago; Bishop Jon Stowe of Lexington, Kentucky; Archbishop John Wester of Santa Fe, New Mexico; retired Archbishop Joseph Fiorenza of Galveston-Houston; and Bishop Patrick Dunn of Auckland, New Zealand.
Father Martin posted about the development on Twitter, saying the endorsements from Wester, Fiorenza and Stowe will be included in a forthcoming revised and expanded edition of his book "Building a Bridge".

Who was it who first observed “The floors of Hell are paved with the skulls of bishops”?
Napoleon?
1 Thess 4:1-8 says these men have rejected God.
How many Cardinals, Bishops and Priests do not endorce Father Martin’s writings? That’s what matters.
Shame on them.
Ironically, the Archbishop of San Francisco (AB Cordileone) is not one of these bishops and, thankfully, has a reputation as a faithful and orthodox bishop.
Or a “conservative” bishop with a spine.
