God owes us nothing, we already owe him any works we do.

If you are “in Christ”, you “measure up” because of Christ’s righteousness (not your own) that was imputed to you when you were born again.

Rom 2:1 Therefore thou art inexcusable, O man, whosoever thou art that judgest: for wherein thou judgest another, thou condemnest thyself; for thou that judgest doest the same things.Scottie Clarke, talking about a class of Christians that may not be eligible for the rapture because they aren’t living the right lifestyle has inadvertently included himself in that same class.

I don’t know how else you could interpret the Lord’s several admonitions about being watchful for His return and not caught up in the cares of this world.
