Without benefit of evidence to the contrary, I tend to side with Mark Steyn. But I'm fascinated with what motivates Mr. Goldman. Any information you might be able to provide me would be greatly appreciated, as I am not familiar with his line of thought.
It’s been a while since I read Spengler’s book. However, if I correctly recall his thesis, he believed that Moslem societies suffer from the same existential despair as atheist Western societies, and that they will soon run out of steam.
The book was published in 2011; I do not know whether he has reevaluated his views in light of more recent events.
