The whole *communion of the saints and distinguishing between what you call the church militant, the church suffering, and the church triumphant is a Catholic construct.

it is found nowhere in Scripture, those terms are never used in the Bible.

And it’s a very lousy excuse to justify praying to dead people.

Just pray to God the Father Himself, as Christ instructed us to. He will answer our prayers Himself, just as Christ promised He would.

Don’t Catholics trust God Himself enough to go right to Him with their prayers. Instead they think that God will listen to someone more *holy* and sinless quicker than He would to one of His own children, in direct contradiction to what it taught by Jesus in the NT.

All this nonsense about God not being able to refuse Mary anything she requests is evidence enough of the Catholic church’s lack of faith in God’s willingness to answer someone’s prayer.

Go through her to get from Him what He would not give if you went to Him yourself.

What a crock.

Mary is not going to convince God to do anything that He wouldn’t already do and she’s not going to demand that He go against His will and I don’t belevie that she would go against His will.

If God is not going to give it to you, Mary is not going to get Him to give it to you either.

.
Mary can do nothing.

She is a corpse awaiting the Day of Trumpets.

Catholics have it all. We are not afraid to approach Jesus Christ directly in prayer, nor do we shy away from asking for help from the Mystical Body of Christ, our fellow Christians in the Church Triumphant or the Church Militant, of which Jesus Christ is the Head. Nor do we neglect to pray and offer our daily sacrifices for those in the Church suffering who suffer the purgation of their souls in preparation for life with God forever in heaven, where nothing unclean or sinful may be (I think it was the foolish Catholic priest Luther who imagined that snow-encrusted dunghills would have a place in heaven).

We also receive Jesus Christ in the holy Eucharist, which is the most intimate prayer of all. We are not proud of all of these gifts, we are humbled and filled with grace (gratis, freely given).

We humbly ask Our Lady of Coromoto to free Venezuela from the chains of communism.

We think you should pray for Venezuela too, in whatever manner you think would be most efficacious for their deliverance.

p.s. it should be noted that praying to the dead is and always has been forbidden. Intercessionary prayers can only be addressed to canonized saints whose heroic virtue was manifest and confirmed by miracles; such as St. Michael, St Gabriel, St. Raphael, the Blessed Virgin Mary, St. Joseph, St. Rita de Cascia, etc...you are correct to note that these blessed souls would never grant us anything that would not be in accord with God’s holy will.
