No, Arthur McGowan, to get to the heart of the issue, I am trying to point your mind in the direction of scripture passages which answer the issue of Mary's sinlessness throughout life. Mary was a human being. We are looking at the truth about human nature of human beings. As such we can apply what we find to be true to the person of Mary, since nowhere in the Word of God is Mary identified as your religion claims for her, which is that she was born without sin and remained sinless her whole life.
Since I disagree with the Catholic presmise, I am seeking to show you why I disagree. To do that there needs be a common ground of accepted truth to which we may turn.
Look —— Mary was ***ONLY*** without Sin because God forgave her in advance of her Sin(s) because of His Omniscientioueness???(sp)
What I’m saying is that Scripture passages that say “all have sinned” or the “all are born under the Law,” do not constitute a refutation of the Immaculate Conception and the sinlessness of Mary, precisely because the authors were not thinking about Mary at all. They were addressing audiences who WERE sinners—100% of them. They were instructing those audiences about THEIR sinful condition, not about theological issues regarding Mary.
