That would have been Right Out in that day and time. Her behavior was borderline scandalous then . . . especially for a Scotch Presbyterian.
But she said that although she flirted, Herb was her one and only.

It was a different time. I wonder if poor Herb pined away ...

First thing I want to do is have a word with Shakespeare about a couple of missing works . . .

Don’t know if Herb did . . . he vanishes from the chronicles . . . of course he’s all over the dratted fanfiction . . . those people should be keelhauled, none of them can write worth a tinker’s dam . . .

I plan a long talk with Louis L’Amour, all those holes in the Sackett chronology and dangling sequels when he went and died.

Actual inscription on an ancient tombstone in England:
‘I think that Heaven shall never Heaven be
unless my cats are there to welcome me’.

I wound up in the fanfiction trying to find out what happened to Herb . . . phew, what a load of trash. Far more people THINK they can write than can actually do so . . . maybe my standards are too high because I write for a living, but I don’t think so.

Ew, mine never did that. I agree about people who think they can write. Even published work is full of homophone howlers these days.
