I am not sure, but if this doesn't describe the great falling away, I don't know what would. Rood's little flock is probably a drop in the bucket of those who will be part of the great falling away. Those who follow the accursed gospel he preaches - though he is far from the only one out there - will be sadly surprised to find themselves left behind and facing an eternity separated from God if they fail to accept the grace of God that brings salvation before it's too late.
