It is not a sin to be a homosexual. It is a sin to act on the homosexual urges. A homosexual can choose to remain celebate and there are no issues. As far as being born that way, I don’t buy it. But even if they were, some people are born with birth defects or diabetes. Does that mean that birth defects and diabetes are normal and should be celebrated rather than cured if possible? Hardly. I cannot find the exact part where women are given access in exchange for sex with priests. However perusing the Maccabes and the way Romans apointed priests instead who were corrupt mouth pieces of Rome, we can see corruption in the Temple and Synagogues being quite common.
