ANALYSIS/OPINION:
Resistance and opposition to same-sex marriage has been crumbling among Americans save for one specific segment of society thats proving the last wall to even wider acceptance: Evangelicals.
This is not entirely unexpected. But it is uncomfortable. It puts those of most serious faith in a heated spotlight that can be used by the left to showcase the evangelical Christian crowd as discriminatory, as hate-filled, as antithetical to the core values of America.
Standing strong on this point is not only going to prove lonely.
Its also going to prove a real test of faith and conversely, a real opportunity to serve Jesus. Hey! Now we’re getting somewhere! :)
Can you tell me the name and location of the Catholic Church in question that has lesbians preaching and open homosexuals preaching. While you’re at it please tell me the name and location of the Catholic Church that allows homosexual “weddings”. You can’t. They don’t exist. Now would you like for me to list the Protestant church’s that have lesbians and homosexuals as their pastors? Or the Protestant churches that conduct homosexual “weddings”? I didn’t think so.
I just don’t want to see the government force churches who don’t want to marry gay people forced to do it. If there are churches willing to do it, so be it.

My point is that there is official doctrine and what we do.
Even in the Methodist church the official doctrine has not changed. But there are many wolves in sheep clothing.
I am glad to know there are no wolves in the Catholic Church and it is pure as the driven snow...............
The Methodist Church is in the process of deciding whether they want to ordain lesbians and homosexuals. This will never happen in the Catholic Church. On moral issues the Catholic Church will not deviate from the teachings of Christ. Yes there will be liberal popes now and then, and liberal priests, but there will be no change on the church’s position on homosexuality, and marriage and abortion. Or women clergy.
