How Will The Media and Governments of the world explain The Rapture?
Billy Graham Evangelistic Association et al. ^ | June 19, 2017 | RightTackle 44

If and when the Rapture of the Church occurs and Christians are spirited off the face of the earth to Heaven, how will the secular governments and media explain the phenomenon? Millions of people will suddenly be gone from the societies and populations of the earth. Many who thought or said that they were Christians, will still be here.

No born-again Christians will be here.

The Billy Graham article is cited to provide information.

So you all are pretty sure the tribulation starts at the end of this year?

Seems pretty unlikely to me. But we’ll see.

No, the trib begins 3-1\2 years after Satan is cast out of the throne room, which happens this year (the 10th jubilee since the Reformation)

"How Will The Media and Governments of the world explain The Rapture?"

How will the media and governments of the world explain Voldemort's return?

I don't think they need to spend much time worrying about that.

Satan’s Tribulation of the Bride is 42 months long, and ends with Yeshua’s coming “in the spirit” to gather Israel.

Obviously that gathering puts an end to Satan’s shenanigans.

Do all children get raptured or what? Because adults who are left behind are going to act differently depending on if they still have kids, right?

Can children still be conceived after the rapture? They will also act differently if humanity has the possibility of continuing in my opinion.

There is no “Church,” and there is no “rapture.”

The Last Trump is a gathering, first of the dead, and then of the living.

Thanks for the input. I just want to know what the people who think there is going to be a rapture enough to wonder what the society left behind will do about it when it happens to answer my questions. They seem like reasonable questions given human nature concerning children and further generations.

Common sense tells me that there isn’t a rapture because the tribulation isn’t like “sinner marinade” where they get a warm up for what’s inevitably coming, it’s to separate wheat from chaff.

If I’m sending any thoughts and prayers up to the Lord, it’s to either ask to ease someone else’s burden or to give me the strength to weather whatever test it’s desired I pass to prove my acceptance of Christ is sincere.

A very minuscule few within the US can even remotely fathom what it means to be tested in faith like people living in totalitarian pestholes or heavy sharia states. Predictions and their failing to come to pass are ready made stumbling blocks for unseating weak believers before any tribulation. A Christian can be ready at any time, but even if there is some type of “rapture” it’s probably for ridiculous rock solid stalwarts that are practically living saints like people who’ve survived saving others without a seconds thought for saving themselves.

A tribulation is still going to validate a believer. The only thing you can’t undo in it is taking the mark and the existence of that circumstance alone, which you will have to voluntarily accept with full knowledge, is going to be validation of ones belief in and of itself. The Tribulation for Christians should be a signal to roll up ones sleeves, think “this will probably hurt” and get out there and make the Lord proud of you.

Of the 3 responses up to now, your's is only one that "gets it".
First, a suggestion to help your comments be easier to read.
(I'm not as young as I use to be and my time is limited with aging parents and around 58 acres of woods and pastures to keep up). Now reference your comments: You have to learn HOW God addresses the nations as we know them, and that's by the "House of (name of ancestor)".
There are several good books on the subject, and booklets, if you'll only look.
Look for the United States under "Manasseh", and Great Britain under "Ephrim" ('A GREAT NATION' and 'A COMPANY OF NATIONS') .

Own to your comment: You're more correct than most people realize.

I'm reminded of this ... daily.

But we NEED an escape hatch!!!!!! We are so afraid of getting hurt!!!!!

What is the 'hurt'? Do you really believe you are 'better' than the Christians being slaughtered daily in the Middle East? You see, until one is deceived by another Jesus, all who rest in Christ today are Christians. The peril comes from the mass deception, because of false doctrines leads Christians to worship the fake Jesus.

The 'rapture' doctrine has no clue who the literal anti-Christ, or instead of Jesus is and that 'he' shows up first. That is the first tribulation, that has not been since the beginning of this flesh age.

Christ repeatedly warned about those that come in His name.

What condition would cause a Christian to pray for the mountains to fall upon them? That question applies to all Christians of all denominations. Answer, a 'wedding' out of season to a fake Jesus.

Well, to me, "Last Trumpet" means what it says, the LAST one.

Now first, you must know that by profession, I'm a retired control tower operator/supervisor of the USAF, and also have 5 years in the FAA in air traffic control.
That being stated first, my background in religion is of a highly personal matter, motivated by many significant emotional events over the period of my life.

Some of my cross reference Bibles and my study Bibles have many notes on the subject, but one of the most interesting takes me back to Isaiah 27:13 and continues all the way through until Isaiah 29:12.
It also emphasizes I Cor 15:22-24 and combined with the reference above of Isaiah, it gets real clear to me WHEN this is to occur.

You ask me: By that question, I assume you're referring to Rev 11:15 Here we read that the"... two witnesses, ... the two olive trees, and the two candlesticks ..." are resurrected,
and are are ascending up to meet the Jesus and His Army, who is coming to Earth with His angels and the resurrected ... to
I hope this answered your question on what I think about this.
Don't forget that there is a lot of time and things to happen between the "treading down of the wicked" and "the judgement".

Your PRIDE is showing.

Be sure to read and click on the links of comment #174 because I don't feel like rewriting them.

Now, what did God tell us ?

Did you not read what Jesus said ?

Let me finish this with this: I state again, “Rapture” is NOT in the Bible !

What makes me sad is I read that many pastors know that we are going thru the Great Trib but don’t teach it. I know one personally. They are the watchman on the wall and if they do not warn those they know they will be held accountable.

The watchman’s duty is set out in Ezekiel 33:1 thru 20.

You said: "All those who confess Jesus is lord and believe it will be saved. Everything else is just garnish. That is all it takes according to the Bible.

You need to read back as to what I actually said and I think you will see that it does not differ from what you are saying. I said that there is more to it that merely believing because even Satan believes that Jesus is real. I said that being a Christian means confessing that one is a sinner, totally surrendering ones life to God, and fully believing that Christ's resurrection paid in full for our sins. And I also said reiterated in another post that we must surrender our will to God. So what part of the above do you feel is not necessary? Do you think that you do not have to confess that you are a sinner (repent)? Do you think that surrendering your life to God means anything different from "confessing Jesus is Lord" as you said? If He is Lord, then He must rule over our lives, right? And believing that Christ's resurrection paid in full for our sins, Do you not feel that is also necessary?

Summing up what I said was necessary..... CONFESS (repent of sin), SURRENDER (allow Jesus to be Lord in my life), and BELIEVE (not just believe that Jesus existed and that He is God, but also that his death and resurrection paid for my sins). Which part of the above is not necessary, but merely garnish? What part of the above do you think you can leave out and still be saved? Be specific, because that's what I was trying to do when pointing out that many who think they are Christians will miss the Rapture because they don't fully understand what it means to "BELIEVE".

Now, as to the Rapture. Even among true Christians we have different opinions as to when it will happen.... pre-trib, mid-trib, post- trib. And that is okay. I always am happy to listen to arguments for each of the above and do not rule out changing my mind. I do believe in pre-trib, but I also respect your belief in post-trib. You said if God made Noah, the people of Sadam and Gomorrah, and the Israelites in Egypt suffer, that means we will have to suffer the tribulation. First of all, God allowed the righteous in Sadam and Gomorrah to leave before He destroyed it. He brought the Israelites out of Egypt, saving most of them. Both of these events in history show us how God saves. And there is no better picture of how Jesus saves than the Ark...... BEFORE God brought down the flood, he put Noah and his family (the only righteous believers) in the Ark to keep them safe from the flood. Some of us think this is a picture of how God will keep Christians (righteous believers) safe from the tribulation.

editor-surveyor,

You might find this interesting. It is from the prophecy timeline spreadsheet that I host at http://october-5-2017.com

The “Seventy ‘sevens’” of Daniel 9:24 are Jubilee weeks. (Ref. Lev. 25:8-10, 20-22) There is no other possibility.

The last ‘seven’ of Daniel 9:24 began on 6/7/1967 and were complete on September 23, 2015. There is no other possibility.

A Jubilee week is seven periods of seven years each. Each year is 360 days long. Daniel 9:24 states that “Seventy ‘sevens’ are decreed for your people and your holy city...” The difference between 6/7/1967 and September 23, 2015 is exactly 7 x 7 years x 360 days/year = 17,640 days. The holy city of Jerusalem was captured (gained) on 6/7/1967. Notably, September 23, 2015 is a Yom Kippur, also known as The Day of Atonement.

Reasoning:

1) Daniel 9:24 tells us that “Seventy ‘sevens’ are decreed for your people and your holy city” (the ‘sevens’ clock only runs if the people of Yahuah are in possession of the holy city [Jerusalem]).

2) Daniel 9:25-26 tells us that sixty-nine (69) ‘sevens’ were complete by the time of the death of the Messiah, thus leaving only one ‘seven’ left to fulfill.

69 x 7 x 7 years x 360 days/year = 1,217,160 days. 1,217,160 days divided by 365.25 days/year = 3,332.4 years. If we add another 70 years to account for the Babylonian captivity (when the people were not in the holy city), we get to approximately 3,400 B.C. This correlates closely with historical and archeological evidence of the age of Jerusalem. Finds of pottery vessels in tombs to the south of the present walls of the Old City indicate that the site was first settled around 3,500 B.C.

3) The last ‘seven’ of Daniel 9:24 began on 6/7/1967 when Moshe Dyan’s troops parachuted into Jerusalem and took control of it.

4) The last ‘seven’ of Daniel 9:24 cannot have already have been fulfilled prior to 6/7/1967. If it were, then the ‘seven’ that began on 6/7/1967 would be the seventy-first ‘seven.’ That would contradict scripture, so a pre 6/7/1967 fulfillment of the last ‘seven’ can be ruled out.

5) The last ‘seven’ of Daniel 9:24 cannot be shorter. If the last ‘seven’ of Daniel 9:24 were ‘seven years’ it would have been fulfilled by the sixth month of 1974; Israeli control for another ‘seven’ of ‘seven years’ over all of Jerusalem beyond then would contradict scripture. Daniel 9:24 says “Seventy ‘sevens’ are decreed...,” not more, not fewer. Therefore, the ‘seven’ of Daniel 9:24 is NOT seven years.

6) The last ‘seven’ of Daniel 9:24 could be longer, but not by much. If the ‘sevens’ of Daniel 9:24 were longer than Jubilee weeks by just five (5) years, then working backward from the death of the Messiah, sixty-nine (69) of those ‘sevens’ would place the founding of Jerusalem at approximately 3,700 B.C. Similarly, if the ‘sevens’ were ten (10) years longer, the placement of the founding of Jerusalem would be approximately 4,000 B.C. Remember that the historical and archeological evidence concerning the age of Jerusalem places its first settlements at approximately 3,500 B.C.

A Jubilee week is the only Biblically documented time span of “seven” (Ref. Lev. 25:8-10, 20-22) that fits within the aforementioned minimum and maximum constraints on the length of the last ‘seven’ of Daniel 9:24.

The last ‘seven’ of Daniel 9:24 were complete on September 23, 2015.
