Well, these doctrines are not Luther’s idea. They are Scripture and aside from the occasional Lutheran who posts on these threads, NOBODY CARES WHAT HE SAID.

Luther wrote some really good commentaries, and his Large Catechism is a wonderful handbook for the Christian faith and teaching the Christian life.
But he’s not the source of even Lutheran theology. Scripture is. Dr. Luther simply was a very good expositor of Scripture and a prolific writer.
Well, no offense to Lutherans, but I don’t know anyhone who reads Luther’s writings or follows them because he wrote them.
Catholics are mostly the ones who have him living in their heads rent free 24/7.
Most Christians don’t even bother thinking about him.
