There are plenty of parallels between the false prophethood careers of Mohammed and Joseph Smith so a sort of kinship between their followers shouldn’t be entirely surprising.
Interesting to have people serve you while you celebrate their murder 8n your national holiday about your victory over them in the end of days. Do you smile and smirk while eating, or just contemplate how their head will link on that platter?
Makes sense. Joseph Smith was a 19th Century American Mohammad. Both made it all up by talking to angels that only they could see, and created a cult. Thankfully, Smith’s cult was not based on violent conquest, but it is a cult nonetheless.
