He who hears not the Church...

I must confess that I don’t know what that means. If you replace “church” with “the word”, “Jesus” or “God”, I get it. But as you posted it I don’t get the meaning.

I'm paraphrasing Matthew 18:17:

"And if he refuse to hear them, appeal to the Church, but if he refuse to hear even the Church, let him be to thee as the heathen and the publican."
