Excuse me.
When they agreed to offer their support for Ryan to be Speaker of the House, there wasn't all that much in way of alternative possibilities.
When they did eventually offer support (even under some terms Ryan forced out of them) they did not give up their own positions as Representatives of the Districts which they Constitutionallyserved as representatives of when they dis so, either.
They owed Ryan no undying faithful future support simply for the fact Ryan agreed to allow himself be pushed forward (by other Republicans) to be Speaker.
Although it's a bit late to be invoking the forum rule, for future reference's sake; on the religion forum of FR it is against the rules to attribute motive ---which is exactly what you were doing in the above italicized example (of your own words).
When will you ever begin taking responsibility for your own words?
Disagreeing with your opinions, at least in my own case, does not equate to that being due to "fearing what... [I] ...don't understand".
First you abstain, then and only then could you claim the moral high ground, in opposing everything Ryan wants to do. But as it stands today, they are nothing more than political HACKS. No one here should be defending political hackery.
