Sounds good to me and my animals.
I'd rather spend eternity with them than Pope Francis.

We treat our cats better than we treat some “Christians”. :)

Pets are not Pets they’re Family
To: marshmallow
I treat my animals with the respect they deserve as God’s creations.Anything less would make me an unworthy steward.

If God is love (He says He is), then pets are given easy access into Heaven.

I hug all cats. When I meet new Christians, I make sure my wallet is still in place.;-)
That said, I am an evangelical Christian. A whole-hearted believer.

First and foremost, we beg the question, “Do these people actually know what it means to be a true believer. . .animals aside?”
Just another “off the deep end” example of this world’s misguided mindset. Acts 16:31 They replied, Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be savedyou and your household.
The main thing is that everyone including family believes that Jesus saved us from our sins through His Death, Burial, and Resurrection.
Then you can worry about FIDO.

I'd rather spend eternity with them than Pope Francis.Well said, Rooster. I have a lifetime of adorable pets waiting for me in heaven. And no popes.

That verse has no place here.
Surely you have access to Biblical interpretations of that verse. Do some Bible study.
It isn't about killing animals.
It is about Peter's Jewishness versus his new Christianity and his acceptance of God's rules which include gentiles and their traditions.

I saw what you did there!

But they aren't Christians.
They are pets.
How long before they start demanding they be baptized and given communion?
What happens to their spirit after death is up to God but saying a dog is a Christian does not elevate the dog, it degrades the concept of Christian.

I’m guessing you don’t have to worry about spending eternity with “Pope Francis”.

All my little buddies are waiting for me too.
Now that's heaven.
Eternity isn't long enough for that.
And no more litter boxes.;-)
To: marshmallow
So they want pets to be persecuted, murdered, raped by Muslims, and spied on by democrat run agencies?

Thinking of pets as "Christians" doesn't *elevate* them but does demean us.Yes,pets should be treated with kindness and respect. But "Christians"?
No thanks.
To: Harmless Teddy Bear
Have you not felt the love of a pet?
God is love...not some human creation called a church.
