A lot of you will remember freeper Lilyramone in TX whose little daughter Sophia has had a lot of medical problems in the past 3 years or so. The family had moved from CA to TX and it seems had the boom lowered on them when they arrived. They've been going through an awful lot and it hasn't let up. I hadn't heard from her in ages but kept praying and checking her FR profile to see if she'd posted and she hadn't and worried more.
She has written now and asked for the prayers for Sophia to continue as she is scheduled for surgery in early February. She has been asked what her wish is from Make a Wish Foundation and her mom says her wish is to LIVE. She tells her mom she is not afraid to die but her mom said when she cuddles with her at night she'll whisper that she doesn't want to die.
Please let's all jump on board and get many prayers sent up to Jesus for Sophia and her whole family. And keep them going. Thank you all.
Continued prayers for Sophia’s health and healing.
“”Ill be looking forward to seeing them””
I did get some pictures from “lilyramone” in an email but I’m afraid I don’t know how to post them here. I don’t see any way to copy them from my email program to get them here. Anyone with ideas, please sound off! I know you would all love to see the precious little girl we’ve been talking about.
Sophia’s mom said the diagnosis has been changed as I thought and mentioned yesterday. Why don’t I just copy and paste her email to all of you?
::::My son and I were in bed reading the prayers on FR and we’re so very touched by them all.
I wanted you to know Sophia was finally diagnosed with an “unknown genetic vasculopathy”, after they ruled out all other potential known diseases.
The blood vessels in her brain are slowly narrowing, causing her to suffer strokes. The doctors can not stop the narrowing so we don’t know how much time we have with her. The scheduled brain surgery is a salvage surgery to save as much remaining live brain tissue in hopes the surgery will create new sources of blood supply to the areas that lost blood flow.
There is no cure for her condition as it is so rare. She is on heavy blood thinners to prevent clotting and assist in keeping her brain saturated.
I noticed FReepers asking questions so I thought I would help clarify.
Sophia is such an amazing little girl, we are so very blessed to have her in our lives. We know Christ is the true healer and place our faith in Him every second. I told Sophia today that another prayer chain was reaching a huge amount of people and both she and her brother said “Good, God will hear them all!::::
That is the most adorable little girl! Thank you!! She’s just special.
Is that her brother in the back seat? They’re both sweet and beautiful (he’s more handsome)! :)
Yes, that is her brother - he really is a handsome kid...they’re both beautiful..and they must have “beautiful” parents in the sense of genuine, loving, caring, real....
I couldn’t agree more!
Prayers!
Thank you - your prayers are so much appreciated...Haven’t heard from the mom in a couple of days and it worries me but I know how busy the family is and they are getting ready for Sophia’s surgery this next week.
Prayers for Sophia.
