There have been far more than two, or eight, examples of “infallibility”! Zmirak meant examples of papal infallibility exercised alone.

Care to share what these are? We've asked before but to no avail.

The two most recent and most clear examples are the definitions of the Immaculate Conception in 1854 and the Assumption in 1950. Both dogmas were almost universally believed already. They were solemnly defined in a papal encyclical.

The restatements of the Church’s teaching on contraception in 1968 and 1981 are infallible. The restatement that the Church does not believe herself authorized to confer Holy Orders on females is also infallible.
